Pizza Dough Next Day
This is a follow up story to my Pizza Dough Recipe .
The pizza dough did work out quite well and we enjoyed the pizza that we created. This morning, we thought that we would make another pizza with the second piece of dough. When I took the pizza dough out of the refrigerator, I found that it had risen and expanded beyond the container that I stored it in.
The only problem that I found with this is that the edges that were exposed, including almost one half of the top surface. This was not a big problem, because I could fold the dry top parts of the dough into the underside where the overall dampness would absorb the dryness. However, when I was working the dough, I kept feeling the dry parts and I had to work the dryness into the dough.
This tells me that I will need to get bigger storage containers to store my pizza dough. This is a dough that I made with only one teaspoon of active dry yeast, not the two teaspoons that I started making it with. In this photo, you will see that I have little green specs. This is some fresh basil leaves that I had cut into the pizza dough for added flavour when I made it yesterday. I usually do not put too much into my pizza dough, but sometimes a little extra is a nice taste, in my opinion.
